In the text before us we have a message from God’s messenger to and for every man.   God never leaves us nor the world without His word:  Isaiah 55:11.

The only question is what will men do with His word, those that are saved and those who are lost.

Isaiah 55:11 – So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

A WORD ABOUT HIS COMING (22:6-7)

Hebrews 1:7,14 – And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire.”. . . Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

Jeremiah 1:9-12 – Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 “See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.” 11 The word of the Lord came to me saying, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a rod of an [almond tree.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

Matthew 5:18 – For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Luke 12:37 – Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them.

Revelation 16:15 – (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”)

I Corinthians 15:51-52 – Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Revelation 1:3 – Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

A WORD ABOUT HIS WORSHIP (22:8-9)

Hebrews 1:6-8 – And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,

And let all the angels of God worship Him.” And of the angels He says,

Who makes His angels windsAnd His ministers a flame of fire.” But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and everAnd the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

A WORD ABOUT HIS WORD (22:10-11)

Ecclesiastes 11:3b – and whether a tree falls toward the south or toward the north, wherever the tree falls, there it lies.

A WORD ABOUT OUR WATCH (22:12)

Romans 14:10 – But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
